This little lady was my bootfair bargain last month. I found her lying on the floor of a stall and managed to rescue her for just 50p. She is a 2004 cabbie with cornsilk hair.
whilst rootling through ebay the other day for cpks and clothes i came across these gorgeous babies. They are called Furskins and were made by the makers of the Cabbage patch kids in the early 80’s. There seem to be differing sizes in these too.
The first one i bought is this chap
I paid £1.85 for him and i think he’s great. he has lost his top, shoes and hat along his lifes journey but retains his trousers to protect his furry modesty. He is 22 inches tall and very soft.
Then i saw these two critters for sale together.
The large one measures 14 inches and has a great shirt, dungarees and wonderful heavy rubber boots with real laces. It gives him a kind of beany effect of being bottom heavy.
The little fella with him was i presume given away or sold as part of a meal deal by Wendy’ Hamburger chain. he has his label to prove it and an all in one outfit with tiny boots.
I wouldnt have bought the small one but they came as a package and the two of them only cost me 99p. How could i refuse.
I have my eye on a baby version now complete with dummy.

Here is an unusual doll in that she has hair that ‘grows’.
She dates from 1988 and is made by Coleco. She’s very heavy because she has a box inside her body with the hair mechanism. Her hair is blond cornsilk, i cant really wash it though in case i ruin the mechanism, not thats its working well at the moment. Its meant to be pulled out and then like a window blind you pull it and it retracts.
She is in very good condition for her age though, very clean and with a dress, undies and shoes. She has a cheeky little face with a tiny tooth showing. Im hoping i can get the hair box to work properly then she will be a lovely doll.
Got this lady yesterday from ebay. She will need the usual treatment as her hair is really dusty and apart from a nappy she has no clobber.
Here is my Coleco doll after a good clean, hair wash and some lovely new clothes. I bought her dungaree dress from eBay (where else?) and im really pleased with it.
